International(ism)

nation + nation = international?
It takes two to tango, but three to become international.
nation + nation + nation = international?

Sometimes it is just a sum. ‘International’ more often means ‘multi-national’. For instance, in ‘international’ festivals or ‘international’ co-productions you can’t always see the ‘inter’ or the ‘in between’. Then there is no exchange.
Do you call this a relationship?!

Locality

Locality is related to population, when the density of population is high, it is harder to associate with a local community. Unless locality is strengthened by overwhelming diffence. Then you mark or define your space; locality is the space of your presence.

But how different do you have to be to prevent your locality from dissolving when confronted with cosmopolitanism? Does locality not dissolve but shift? In the globalised world, the national might be the new local.
